I spoke with Grace, a very very good friend if mine who got married a few months ago at the age of 25. After the initial "chika" ,I asked her if she was pregnant yet. Tears fell as she said, "I'm so afraid I wont get pregnant anymore. I just heard three weeks ago that she's pregnant. Then last saturday, she called me to say she lost her baby!"
I feel the pain she's bearing inside. Many women who get married want to have a child. I was speachless during that time. I just hugged her. But she knew what I wanted to say.
Why does God not grant every wife's prayer for a child? But I think or maybe because God knows that women's (and men's too!) need to give and recieve love will not be assuaged by having children. Oh, yes, a child is a gift. Oh,yes, it's wonderful to have one. But all in all, only having God completes you.
I'm not worried about my friend, Grace. She's a strong ,courageous and very dynamic woman. And besides,her love for God goes beyond just wanting to have an answered prayer. Go girl I know you can do it. Be happy always.
